Axie Infinity Launches Atia’s Legacy MMO with AXS Reward Pool
The Axie Infinity team has announced the launch of Axie Infinity: Atia’s Legacy, a new game set in the fantasy world of Lunacia on the Ronin blockchain.
- The game features multiplayer interactions, treasure boxes, quests, and battles against monsters for XP.
- Players can swap Axies during gameplay and engage in battles using up to four Axies.
- Axies will level up together and can share gear that ranges from Common to Legendary quality.
- The graphics are designed for mobile, maintaining the pastel aesthetic of the Axie brand.
- Playtests are scheduled for this year, with no specific launch date provided.
In addition, players can earn AXS tokens by referring friends during the pre-registration phase, with rewards totaling up to 25,000 AXS (approximately $88,250) distributed among top participants. Players may also receive a Mystic Axie NFT.
Activity in Axie Infinity has increased since June last year, showing recovery from previous lows. Currently, there are over 4.5 million transactions monthly from nearly 200,000 unique active wallets, up from about 15,000 a year ago.
