Bybit to Discontinue Key Web3 Products by May 2025
Bybit will discontinue several Web3 products and services by mid-2025 to optimize its offerings and focus on long-term growth in the on-chain ecosystem.
Services Scheduled for Discontinuation
- Cloud Wallet and Keyless Wallet support will end after May 31, 2025
- Assets must be transferred to Bybit Funding Account or Seed Phrase Wallet
- An export feature for private keys will be introduced for Keyless Wallet users
- Failure to move assets may result in delays and extra identity verification
- NFT Marketplace, DEX Pro, Swap & Bridge, NFT Pro, and market trading tools will also be removed by May 31, 2025
- ApeX has already been discontinued as of April 8, 2025
Users are advised to withdraw or relocate NFTs and tokens before access is fully removed. This shift aligns with Bybit's strategic focus on evolving blockchain needs, emphasizing user control and value.
Bybit continues to support Seed Phrase Wallets, Staking, DApps, and Airdrop Arcade despite the cuts. The company aims for a more open Web3 future while recovering from a previous hack linked to North Korea's Lazarus Group, regaining 7% market share since then.
