Crypto.com Acquires Orion Principals to Enhance Financial Services Portfolio
Crypto exchange company Crypto.com has acquired Orion Principals Limited, licensed by the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). This acquisition enables Crypto.com to provide a range of financial investment services.
Orion, based in Abu Dhabi, specializes in brokerage activities and operates under ADGM regulation, allowing it to offer investment and financial advisory services. With this acquisition, Crypto.com will enhance its user offerings to include securities, futures, contracts for difference, and more.
CEO Kris Marszalek outlined plans for 2025 to develop a comprehensive platform for various financial investments. He highlighted the UAE's strong regulatory framework for digital assets and emphasized the company's growth in the region. He stated:
“We have a clear path set out in our product roadmap for 2025 – to offer our users the most comprehensive platform for a broad range of financial investment services. We are continually growing our presence in the UAE, which has one of the strongest regulatory frameworks for the digital assets industry globally and we appreciate ADGM’s commitment to supporting innovation in our sector.”

Founded in 2016, Crypto.com has rapidly expanded, boasting over 100 million users globally. It announced its 2025 plans last month and the acquisition of Australian brokerage service Fintek.
The acquisitions enable Crypto.com to offer diverse financial products, including deposit products, derivatives, securities, foreign exchange, and managed investment schemes.
