ETHGlobal Hackathon in Bangkok Awards $750,000 to Top Projects
ETHGlobal, an organizer of Ethereum-focused events, hosted its latest hackathon in Bangkok, Thailand, following Devcon. The event gathered leading minds in blockchain technology.
Judges reviewed approximately 713 projects from various developers competing for a share of the $750,000 prize pool, the largest in ETHGlobal's history.
Projects in Gaming and DAOs Lead the Way at Latest ETHGlobal Hackathon
The judging panel included industry experts like Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Aave founder Stani Kulechov. Among the ten standout projects, gaming emerged as a dominant theme.
Four gaming projects reached the finalist stage: Metaloot, LootGO, BubbleWars, and Dark Factory, illustrating innovative uses of blockchain technology in entertainment.
DAO tools also gained attention, with MiniDAO and DAOGenie notable among them. MiniDAO utilizes a Telegram bot for collective wallet management, while DAOGenie leverages AI to automate tasks such as purchases and group decision-making based on votes.
AI Agents and Blockchain Infrastructure Innovations Also Feature
AI integration was highlighted with Industry.ai, which features four specialized AI agents managing complex blockchain operations. Judge Will Binns observed trends in tokenization and AI agents during the review process.
“There are two distinct trends I’m seeing in the hundreds of projects I’m looking at — Tokenization and AI Agents.”
Other top projects included Zubernetes and ETHPark-QR in the blockchain infrastructure category, along with Cat in a Box, a platform enabling users to share private data securely and engage in Decentralized Science (DeSci).
What’s Next?
As ETHGlobal concludes its Bangkok event, preparations are underway for the next hackathon, scheduled for April 2025 in Taipei alongside ETHTaipei.
