Fluent Labs Secures $8 Million for Blended Execution Network Development
Fluent Labs has raised $8 million, led by Polychain Capital, to develop a blended execution network for blockchain. This initiative addresses the limitations of existing virtual machines (VMs) that constrain blockchain development.
- Current options like the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) require developers to choose between different programming languages, limiting their flexibility.
- Fluent's model integrates EVM, SVM, and Wasm, allowing use of multiple programming languages such as Rust, Solidity, AssemblyScript, and C++ in a unified environment.
- The platform aims to facilitate cross-VM compatibility, enabling functionalities like swapping ERC-20 tokens for SPL tokens on a decentralized exchange.
Funding and Ecosystem Growth
- Fluent Labs is expanding its ecosystem, currently hosting around 60 projects in DeFi, infrastructure, consumer applications, and gaming.
- New applications in development include an on-chain quant trading system and a Web3-native Product Hunt.
- The funding round included participation from firms like dao5, Symbolic Capital, and investors including Balaji Srinivasan and Jason Yanowitz.
Fluent Labs aims to simplify blockchain interactions for users, removing the need to understand complex underlying protocols.
