FTX to Distribute $1.6B to Creditors on September 30

The FTX Recovery Trust will distribute $1.6 billion to creditors on September 30, marking the third payout since FTX's collapse in November 2022.
Four creditor groups will receive repayments covering between 78% and 120% of their original holdings, depending on the claims filed.
Payments will be processed through Bitgo, Kraken, and Payoneer.
Earlier this year, over $5 billion was paid out in the second wave of repayments.
The recovery plan is managed by John J. Ray III, focusing on asset recovery efforts.
FTX collapsed due to misuse of customer deposits by founder Sam Bankman-Fried and associates, leading to a major fraud case.
Bankman-Fried is serving a 25-year prison sentence, with former executives testifying against him.
Further distributions are expected as more assets are recovered.
