Fuel Network Unveils Genesis Drop Allocating 1 Billion FUEL Tokens
Fuel Network, an Ethereum-based optimistic roll-up protocol, has launched its Genesis Drop, distributing 1 billion FUEL tokens, or 10% of the total supply, to over 200,000 eligible participants. The initiative acknowledges contributions across the Fuel ecosystem, with participants able to confirm eligibility on the official website. Reward claims are open from December 19, 2024, to January 19, 2025.
Recognizing Contributions Across a Diverse Ecosystem
The Genesis Drop distributes tokens among seven beneficiary categories, including early adopters, NFT holders, tester users, and developers. Early adopters from Phase 1 of the Fuel Points Program received 287 million FUEL tokens. Testnet users, who facilitated transactions on the Sepolia Ethereum testnet, earned 64.2 million tokens. NFT enthusiasts were allocated 125 million FUEL tokens for their contributions.
Fuel Bridgoors, who bridged assets, received 200 million FUEL tokens. Ecosystem developers, moderators, and researchers, known as Glass Eaters, were rewarded with 138.8 million FUEL tokens. The open-source community earned 175 million FUEL tokens, while Fuelet Magisters from the "Early On Fuel" campaign received 10 million FUEL tokens.
This distribution strategy strengthens connections among contributors and fosters a unified ecosystem. A Sybil-adjusted mechanism ensures equitable distribution by prioritizing smaller participants and excluding fraudulent actors, reflecting Fuel's commitment to fairness.
