Hyperliquid Surpasses $1.5 Trillion in Perpetual Futures Trading Volume

Decentralized exchange Hyperliquid has achieved over $1.571 trillion in perpetual futures trading volume in the past year. In June, the platform generated $56 million in fees, raising its total revenue to $310 million. Key statistics include:

  • May 2025: $248 billion in perpetual futures volume
  • June 2025 (so far): $208 billion, surpassing competitors' combined volume of $140 billion

The increase in trading volume coincided with a $1.2 billion HYPE token airdrop, enhancing user acquisition and liquidity. Additionally, Hyperliquid launched HyperEVM, an Ethereum-compatible network for deploying smart contracts.

Hyperliquid's native token, HYPE, has increased by 1140% since its launch, currently trading around $39.69. In June, it gained over 27%, adding over $2 billion in market capitalization.

Technical analysis indicates potential price resistance at $43.45, with a target of $48 if bullish momentum continues. Support levels are noted at $38, $35, and $33.50.

BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes suggested that HYPE could potentially reach $100, fueled by excitement around popular trader James Wynn.
