io.net and NovaNet Form Alliance to Enhance GPU Compute Security
io.net and NovaNet have partnered to enhance decentralized GPU compute security using zero-knowledge GPU Identification (zkGPU-ID). This solution aims to continuously validate and test the global network of GPUs.
NovaNet’s ZKPs and zkEVM to Serve io.net
The collaboration will increase the security and reliability of decentralized computing through cryptographic guarantees. NovaNet's zkVM technology will ensure that GPUs on io.net meet or exceed performance standards, ensuring reliability and transparency. NovaNet’s advanced ZKPs will validate that computational resources from io.net suppliers are secure and perform as claimed. Tausif Ahmed, io.net VP of Business Development, noted that building a permissionless and enterprise-ready decentralized compute network requires optimizing coordination and verification across a large group of distributed GPU suppliers.
Ahmed emphasized that NovaNet’s zkGPU-ID will enhance io.net’s ability to continuously validate and test its global GPU network, allowing customers to confirm the reliability of rented GPUs from the DePIN platform.
NovaNet’s Technical co-founder Wyatt Benno mentioned that ZKPs need to operate on various devices for local verifiability. The zkVM is designed for secure GPU identification via software, providing easily verifiable cryptographic proof.
The Push for Functional Partnership Deals
This partnership with NovaNet is part of io.net's recent strategic moves, including an alliance with YOM, a decentralized cloud gaming network aiming to enhance pixel streaming capabilities using io.net’s distributed GPU network. The goal is to deliver AAA games smoothly and cost-effectively compared to traditional server setups.
Last August, the DePIN platform announced a collaboration with Flock.io to develop the world's first Proof of AI (PoAI) consensus mechanism, which ties node validation to successful AI task completion, making it more difficult for dishonest participants to exaggerate their capabilities.
Additionally, in August, io.net collaborated with NetMind.AI to improve its AI and Machine Learning capabilities, integrating resources to enhance computational power during peak demand periods.
