Kamino and ImmuneFi Launch Solana’s Largest Bug Bounty, $1.5M Reward

Kamino, a DeFi platform on Solana, has launched the largest bug bounty program on the chain in collaboration with ImmuneFi. The program starts on October 6 and is open-ended.

  • The bounty program targets two areas: smart contracts and websites/applications.
  • Rewards for critical smart contract vulnerabilities can reach up to $1.5 million, with a minimum of $150,000.
  • High-level smart contract issues can earn up to $100,000; medium-level ones receive $10,000.
  • Website/application vulnerabilities offer up to $50,000 for critical issues and $10,000 for high-level threats.

Previously, Kamino hosted its own bug bounties for three years, enhancing security with over 18 audits and an open-source code. Through this partnership, Kamino leverages ImmuneFi's extensive network of security researchers.

ImmuneFi has a strong reputation, safeguarding over $190 billion in funds and awarding more than $120 million to security experts. Despite these efforts, DeFi still faces challenges, with approximately 144 successful exploits reported in 2025.

  • Crypto hack losses decreased by 37% in Q3 2025 to $509 million.
  • August marked the third consecutive month of increasing crypto hacks.
  • Over $2.1 billion was lost in 75 crypto hacks during the first half of 2025, with $357 million occurring in April alone.
