LINK Price Surges 44% Following World Liberty Financial’s $5.63 Million Purchase
Chainlink (LINK) prices surged after World Liberty Financial (WLFI), linked to Donald Trump, acquired 220,000 LINK tokens for $5.63 million in a rapid series of transactions. Additional purchases included:
- 13,000 Aave (AAVE) tokens worth $4.41 million
- 37.267 million TRON (TRX) tokens valued at $8.86 million
This buying pressure led to a 44% increase in LINK’s price over two weeks and an 11% rise in 24 hours, although it remains about 49% below its all-time high of $52.70, currently trading just above $26.
WLFI indicated these acquisitions were in celebration of Trump's potential inauguration as the 47th President. They also highlighted significant investments totaling $47 million each in Ethereum (ETH) and wrapped Bitcoin (wBTC).
Analysts suggest that LINK could reach $35 as market conditions stabilize, drawing on historical patterns of price corrections and recent investor withdrawals from exchanges indicating confidence in LINK's potential. The monthly Relative Strength Index (RSI) for LINK is at 67, nearing a level that previously preceded substantial price increases. Potential scenarios forecast LINK could approach $124.80 if historical trends repeat.
