MegaETH Develops Ethereum-Compatible Blockchain with 100,000 TPS Capability

MegaETH is developing a real-time Ethereum-compatible blockchain with the objectives of:

  • Sub-millisecond transaction latency
  • Over 100,000 transactions per second (TPS)

This aims to improve blockchain performance relative to traditional cloud computing.

Key features include:

  • Node specialization with distinct roles for:
    • Sequencers: Manage transaction ordering and execution
    • Replica Nodes: Store copies of the blockchain state for read requests
    • Full Nodes: Validate transactions and update blockchain state
    • Provers: Create cryptographic proofs for validation
  • Mini blocks: Enable block production every 10 milliseconds, enhancing transaction speed and reducing latency
  • Optimized EVM: Utilizes Just-In-Time (JIT) compilation to transform smart contracts into native machine code, improving execution speed for dApps

MegaETH has received $20 million in seed funding led by Dragonfly Capital, with participation from Ethereum co-founders Vitalik Buterin and Joseph Lubin. This reflects strong community support for MegaETH's potential to enhance blockchain scalability and performance.
