MetaMask Announces $30M Rewards Program Tied to Future Token

MetaMask is launching a new onchain rewards program, allocating over $30 million in Linea tokens for its first season. The initiative aims to regularly reward users rather than encourage farming activities.

The program includes referral bonuses, mUSD incentives, exclusive partner rewards, and token access.
Long-term users will receive special benefits, linked to the anticipated MetaMask token.
Linea, an Ethereum layer-2 network by Consensys, was launched with a 9.4 billion token airdrop. The $30 million allocation connects Linea and MetaMask to boost activity on the rollup.
MetaMask's mUSD stablecoin has a circulating supply of approximately $88 million, with rewards partly tied to it.

Details regarding jurisdiction exclusions or anti-Sybil measures are yet to be clarified, which is crucial given the potential for gaming the system.
