SovereignAI, a subsidiary of OceanPal, disclosed holding 53.9 million NEAR tokens valued at approximately $133 million as of November 13.
OceanPal, now trading under the ticker SVRN, has plans to acquire 10% of NEAR's total supply, currently holding about 4.2%.
The company aims to actively invest in NEAR through yield-generating strategies and ecosystem support, achieving a 5.3% gross annual percentage yield (APY) so far.
Plans are in place to stake owned NEAR with different validators and run a validator node to secure the network.
