Polygon Co-Founder Mihailo Bjelic Steps Down from Leadership Role

Mihailo Bjelic, co-founder of Polygon, is leaving the network. He announced on X that he will step down from the board of the Polygon Foundation and reduce his involvement with Polygon Labs. With Bjelic's departure, Sandeep Nailwal is now the last remaining original co-founder.

Nailwal acknowledged Bjelic's contributions and wished him well. The layer 2 network, originally known as Matic, was established by Bjelic, Nailwal, Jaynti Kanani, and Anurag Arjun.

Currently, Polygon's POL is down 5% in the last 24 hours, trading at over 23 cents.
