Prom Launches Mainnet with Advanced ZK-Proofs for Scalability
Prom, a blockchain platform, has launched its mainnet, establishing a new standard for fast and efficient blockchain solutions. The platform utilizes advanced zero-knowledge Proofs (ZK-Proofs) to facilitate quicker, safer, and cheaper transactions, addressing key issues in scalability and security.
Benefits of Prom Mainnet Launch
The mainnet launch follows a successful testnet phase, where the network processed over 25 million transactions and interacted with more than 2 million unique wallets. These metrics indicate Prom's resilient infrastructure and growing interest in scalable blockchain solutions.
Prom's design aims to resolve scalability challenges that typically result in high fees and slow transaction speeds during peak times, thereby enhancing user experience as the network expands. Successful testnet results demonstrate Prom’s readiness for real-world applications, particularly in areas like Decentralized Finance (DeFi) and gaming.
The mainnet launch is expected to accelerate the development and adoption of scalable blockchain solutions, positioning Prom as a significant player in the industry.
Building Robust zkEVM Architecture
The scaling ecosystem includes various pioneers, such as Polygon Labs, which introduced a zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM) Type 1 prover earlier this year. This allows EVM-compatible protocols to create new solutions using zk-proofs, facilitating integration within Polygon’s ecosystem without requiring a network fork.
Polygon’s zkEVM prover also offers cost-efficient compatibility with Type 2 zkEVMs. Risc Zero previously unveiled its “Type 0” zkEVM, named Zeth, featuring a versatile programming language similar to the EVM, enabling developers to customize their zero-knowledge stack for different networks like Solana.
Cronos Labs also contributes to Ethereum's scalability by launching the Cronos zkEVM Chain testnet, collaborating with Matter Labs. This chain claims to have some of the lowest fees among layer 2 rollups, with plans for further cost optimization.
With existing innovators in the market, Prom can adapt its solutions over time to remain competitive.
