Robinhood Launches Over 200 Tokenized Stocks and ETFs for EU Investors
Robinhood launched over 200 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs for EU investors on the Arbitrum Layer 2 blockchain. The company plans to migrate these assets to its Ethereum-based Layer 2 blockchain for trading real-world assets.
The service allows EU users to trade stock tokens of major U.S. companies like Apple, Nvidia, and Microsoft with zero-commission trading and 24-hour access five days a week, including dividend eligibility.
Additionally, Robinhood introduced crypto perpetual futures in the EU with up to 3x leverage, routed through Bitstamp, which Robinhood acquired for $200 million. Crypto staking is now available for eligible U.S. customers, starting with Ethereum and Solana.
Following these announcements, Robinhood's stock (HOOD) increased by 12.7%, reaching an all-time high of $94.24.
