Shibarium Bridge Hacker Sells All BAD Tokens for 3.2 ETH
The Shibarium Bridge exploiters have sold all their Bad Idea AI (BAD) holdings. Christopher Johnson from Lightspeed Crypto Services confirmed the sale of 2,057.39 BAD tokens for 3.2 ETH via MetaMask on September 22, 2025. The ETH, worth approximately $13,467, was transferred to another wallet.
Shibarium Bridge Exploit Details
- The exploit occurred on September 12, resulting in a theft exceeding $4 million in various cryptocurrencies, including SHIB, ETH, ROAR, and BAD tokens.
- Exploiters have been gradually liquidating stolen assets.
- On September 20, 1.01 billion SHIB were sold for 2.90 ETH (~$12,107).
Response and Investigations
- The Shiba Inu team attempted to mitigate losses by freezing 4,600,000 BONE tokens on September 13.
- Investigation revealed that attackers used a flash loan and compromised validator signing keys.
