Sony and LINE to Integrate Mini-Apps into Soneium Blockchain
Sony's blockchain division is partnering with LINE to integrate four popular mini-apps into its Soneium network. The mini-apps are:
- Sleepagotchi
- Farm Frens
- Puffy Match
- Pocket Mob
This integration aims to enhance in-game rewards and purchases for LINE's approximately 200 million active users.
Soneium, a layer-2 blockchain on Ethereum utilizing Optimism’s OP Stack technology, went live in January. It ranks as the 15th largest layer-2 network by total value locked.
Jun Watanabe from Sony Block Solutions Labs stated that this collaboration aims to improve accessibility and engagement within the Soneium ecosystem.
