U.S. Seizes 145 Domains and Crypto Funds Linked to BidenCash Marketplace

The U.S. seized 145 darknet and internet domains, along with cryptocurrency funds linked to BidenCash, a marketplace for stolen credit card details.

  • Marketplace revenue reached $17 million.
  • Served over 117,000 customers.
  • Traded more than 15 million payment card numbers since 2022.
  • Included personal information such as home addresses and phone numbers.

The U.S. is intensifying efforts against crypto-related illicit activities. A bill to combat such finance on digital asset platforms was reintroduced in March after failing to pass in the previous Congressional session.

According to Chainalysis, $40 billion was received on illicit crypto addresses in 2024, with projections indicating further increases this year.

Agencies involved included the U.S. Secret Service and the FBI.
