WisdomTree Launches Tokenized Private Credit Fund with $25 Minimum
WisdomTree has launched the WisdomTree Private Credit and Alternative Income Digital Fund (CRDT), a tokenized fund focusing on private credit.
The fund tracks a basket of 35 publicly traded closed-end funds, business development companies, and real estate investment trusts.
Minimum investment is $25, with a two-day redemption period.
Private credit, lending done outside traditional banks, is growing as investors seek yield-focused options.
Will Peck, head of digital assets at WisdomTree, emphasizes expanding access to this asset class for diverse investors.
WisdomTree has previously launched tokenized vehicles for money market funds, fixed income securities, and equities.
Other major asset managers such as BlackRock and Fidelity are also active in the tokenization space, indicating a trend toward real-world asset tokenization.
This trend is still small compared to the vast scale of traditional ETFs and mutual funds.
