New XRP Documentary ‘Rigged from the Start’ Premieres in Arizona
A new documentary titled “Rigged from the Start: Exposing the SEC’s War on Crypto” debuted in Arizona. It explores the legal battle between Ripple Labs, the company behind XRP, and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Produced by Fruition Productions, the documentary features insights from industry leaders and aims to highlight lesser-known aspects of the Ripple-SEC conflict. However, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, a vocal critic of the SEC, reportedly declined to participate.
XRP Documentary: Journey So Far and What to Expect
Initially titled XRP Unleashed, the documentary's name was changed shortly before release to appeal to viewers unfamiliar with XRP. The Arizona screening marks the start of a seven-city tour, with plans for a second tour in December, potentially including Florida as a stop.
The Ripple vs SEC Saga
The legal dispute between Ripple and the SEC has drawn significant attention from crypto enthusiasts and investors. The SEC argues that Ripple Labs sold XRP as an unregistered security, while Ripple contends that XRP should not be classified as such and views the lawsuit as regulatory overreach.
For those unable to attend screenings, the documentary will be available for streaming on Fruition Productions’ website starting November 21. It will also be accessible on major platforms like Amazon Prime and AppleTV, aiming to broaden its audience and raise awareness about the SEC's case against Ripple and its implications for the crypto sector.
