The open interest in XRP and Solana (SOL) futures and options on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) has reached a record $3 billion. This milestone was achieved during Monday’s session, highlighting increased participation from institutional investors.

CME’s Record $3 Billion Milestone

  • Open interest for XRP and Solana futures climbed to about $3 billion.
  • Approximately 9,900 XRP contracts and 17,400 Solana futures contracts were opened.
  • Solana futures launched in March 2025, followed by XRP in May. Both have become prominent in CME's crypto derivatives market.
