What is QIE Blockchain?

QIE is a high-performance Layer-1 blockchain designed to support decentralized finance, payments, identity, gaming, and large-scale Web3 applications. The project has evolved through multiple protocol versions to improve efficiency, security, and decentralization. Initially launched in 2023 using Proof-of-Work, QIE migrated in 2024 to Proof-of-Stake with QBFT consensus, and in July 2025 completed its upgrade to its current dPoS-based architecture with validator slashing, on-chain governance, and native MEV protection.

The current QIE network delivers fast block finality (~1 second), high throughput (up to ~25,000 transactions per second), and low, predictable transaction fees. QIE is built using the Cosmos SDK while remaining fully EVM-compatible, allowing Solidity-based smart contracts and native cross-chain communication via IBC without reliance on Layer-2 solutions or external bridges.

QIE uses a deflationary economic model where 80% of transaction fees are permanently burned, while staking and delegation secure the network and enable governance participation. The ecosystem supports wallets, decentralized exchanges, NFTs, gaming, identity services, and Web3 domains, positioning QIE as a programmable blockchain infrastructure focused on scalability, interoperability, and long-term sustainability.
