AMBTS Secures €20 Million in Initial Funding for Bitcoin Treasury Strategy

The Amsterdam Bitcoin Treasury Strategy (AMBTS) has secured €20 million ($23.2 million) in its initial financing round, aimed at funding a bitcoin accumulation strategy. This private placement round is capped at €30 million ($34.8 million) and is expected to close by September 2025.

The funds will help establish one of Europe's first independent bitcoin treasury companies, with plans for a listing on Euronext Amsterdam. AMBTS targets growing its holdings to at least 1% of all bitcoin in circulation.

Notable early backers include Marc van der Chijs, founder of Hut 8.
