Bitcoin Mining Profitability Increased 2% in July as Prices Rose

Bitcoin (BTC) mining profitability rose by 2% in July as the price increased by 7% and the network hashrate grew by 5%, according to Jefferies.

  • U.S.-listed mining companies mined 3,622 BTC in July, up from 3,379 BTC in June.
  • These firms represented 26% of the total network hashrate, compared to 25% in June.
  • IREN was the top miner with 728 BTC, followed by MARA Holdings with 703 BTC.
  • MARA holds the highest hashrate at 58.9 EH/s, with CleanSpark second at 50 EH/s.
  • Revenue per exahash/second increased to ~$57k/day in July, up from ~$56k/day in June and ~$50k a year ago.
