Circle Launches Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol V2 on Stellar Platform
Circle has launched its Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) V2 on the Stellar blockchain, enabling seamless transfers of USDC between Stellar and 15 other blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, and Base.
- CCTP V2 allows users with funds native to Stellar to transfer without a Circle account.
- The protocol enhances programmability for developers, supporting cross-chain embedding in dApps.
- Transfers can include metadata for autonomous execution via the "Hooks" feature.
In addition to this expansion, Circle partnered with Kraken to improve stablecoin infrastructure and introduced EURC support. Furthermore, Circle has integrated a new model that allows AI agents to autonomously pay for services using USDC, streamlining automated transactions.
The Stellar Development Foundation joined the ERC-3643 Association, potentially expanding regulated asset markets on Stellar's network.

Stellar's XLM token has increased by 4.09% over the week, trading at $0.4018 according to CoinMarketCap data.
