David LaValle Appointed President of CoinDesk Indices and Data

Crypto platform Bullish (BLSH) appointed David LaValle as president of CoinDesk Indices and Data. LaValle previously served as global head of ETFs at Grayscale Investments, where he was key in converting the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) into a spot bitcoin ETF.

LaValle's tenure at Grayscale included efforts leading to the successful conversion of GBTC in January 2024 following a court ruling against the SEC.
Before Grayscale, he was CEO of VettaFi and held senior roles at State Street Global Advisors and Nasdaq.
At Nasdaq, he led the ETP marketplace during early attempts to list a bitcoin trust as an ETF.
