Metaplanet Adds 319 Bitcoin to Treasury, Total Holdings Reach 4,525 BTC

Metaplanet Inc. (3350) increased its bitcoin (BTC) holdings by 319 BTC at an average price of $83,147 per coin. The company's total BTC holdings now amount to 4,525 BTC, with a total cost basis of $408.1 million and an average acquisition price of $90,194.

This purchase is part of Metaplanet’s strategy launched in December 2024, focusing on enhancing shareholder value through digital assets.

The company measures performance via BTC Yield, which for Q1 2025 reached 95.6%, with a year-to-date figure of 6.5% as of April 14.

Funding for these acquisitions comes from dynamic capital market activities, including bond issuances and stock acquisition rights, reducing dilution. Approximately 41.7% of the “210 million plan” has been executed.
