Michael Saylor’s Strategy Misses S&P 500 Inclusion as Robinhood Joins
Michael Saylor's company, MSTR, did not get included in the S&P 500 index despite meeting all criteria and reporting a strong quarterly performance. The stock dropped nearly 3% after hours, negating Friday’s gains.
In contrast, Robinhood (HOOD) was unexpectedly added to the S&P 500, leading to a 7% increase in its stock price after market close. This change will take effect on September 22.
Prior to this, only Coinbase (COIN) and Block (XYZ) were part of the S&P 500 index among crypto-related stocks. Robinhood's inclusion expands this list.
