Mt. Gox Transfers $1 Billion in Bitcoin to Two Wallets

Mt. Gox has transferred 11,501.4 Bitcoins worth over $1 billion to its wallets, as confirmed by on-chain data from Arkham Intelligence. Key details include:

The exchange moved 899 Bitcoins to a cold wallet and 10,608 Bitcoins to another account on March 25th.
Previously, Mt. Gox sent 12,000 Bitcoins on March 6th and 11,833 Bitcoins on March 11th.
It currently controls 35,000 Bitcoins valued at over $3 billion across different wallets.

Additionally, Spot On Chain reported that some of the transactions were directed towards Bitstamp, including 833.4 Bitcoins. Mt. Gox is actively transferring assets to facilitate creditor repayments, under a court agreement requiring compensation for affected customers by October 31st, 2025.
