OKX Launches Exchange and Web3 Wallet Services in Belgium

On November 28, OKX, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, launched its services in Belgium as part of its European growth strategy to promote digital asset adoption.

According to an official press release, the expansion provides Belgian crypto traders access to trading, wallet features, and Euro transactions tailored to local needs.

A Tailored Experience for Belgian Users

The new platform offers spot trading and conversion services for over 200 cryptocurrencies, including more than 60 crypto-euro trading pairs. Additional cryptocurrencies will be added for Belgian users over time.

OKX has partnered with Bancontact, Belgium's leading online payment system, to provide fee-free Euro deposits and withdrawals. Users can also fund accounts through SEPA transfers at no cost.

To facilitate user onboarding, OKX collaborated with Itsme, a widely used digital identity tool in Belgium. This partnership aims to simplify account creation while ensuring secure access to the platform’s features.

Erald Ghoos, OKX Europe’s General Manager, stated that the launch supports the growing interest in digital assets within Belgium, highlighting the platform's low trading fees and efficient Euro transactions.

Expanding Web3 Access with OKX Wallet

In addition to the exchange, OKX introduced its Web3-focused wallet in Belgium, allowing users to control their crypto assets and engage with decentralized applications securely.

To celebrate its entry into Belgium, OKX is offering new customers a €20 bonus in Bitcoin (#BTC) for registering and purchasing at least €10 worth of crypto within 14 days. This offer is valid until February 28, 2024, and is limited to the first 50,000 users.

This expansion follows OKX's recent activities in the Netherlands, where it listed up to 150 cryptocurrencies. The company previously indicated plans to establish a regulated crypto trading hub in Malta, having obtained a Class 4 Virtual Financial Assets (VFA) Service Provider license there in 2021.
