Tether Launches TON-Based USDT on Thailand’s Bitkub Exchange
Tether [NC], the largest dollar-pegged stablecoin, has announced that TON-based USDT is now live on Bitkub, Thailand's largest cryptocurrency exchange. This integration supports Tether’s global expansion goals in the crypto market.
Tether Partners with Bitkub and TON Foundation
The announcement is part of Tether's ongoing collaboration with the TON Foundation, aimed at increasing access to USDT on the TON blockchain. A previous report indicated plans to integrate TON-based USDT into 100 exchanges and payment platforms globally. Recent developments suggest this initiative may be more successful than initially anticipated.
So far, the integration has facilitated access for users across Africa, Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. The partnership with Bitkub signifies Tether's commitment to achieving its objectives.
Increased Integrations Highlight Strategic Efforts
The pace of integrations has accelerated, with three integrations announced in October and 11 new partnerships in November. Notable collaborations include Quidax Global, Stables Money, TrustKeys Global YellowCard App, among others.
December has also started strong, with three integrations reported in the first week. The Bitkub launch follows earlier announcements of partnerships with Bit2Me and Nomas Wallet.
These partnerships provide users seamless access to USDT on the TON blockchain and enable USDT payments for goods and services within the TON ecosystem. The strategy aims to enhance the accessibility and efficiency of USDT transactions globally, potentially facilitating nearly 100 integrations to boost adoption and utility across various platforms.
