BEARISH 📉 : Allegations surface of US government crypto theft by CEO’s son
A controversy has arisen concerning Bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies held by the US government, following allegations from blockchain investigator ZachXBT.
Allegations of Stolen Government Crypto
- ZachXBT accused John “Lick” Daghita of stealing millions in seized digital assets from US government-linked wallets.
- John is the son of Dean Daghita, president of CMDSS, a firm providing services to the DOJ and Department of Defense.
- The alleged theft was revealed after a hacker shared cryptocurrency wallet details during a Telegram argument, boasting about holdings linked to $40 million in seized government crypto.
- ZachXBT claims John controlled wallets containing over $90 million in suspected illicit funds, including assets from the Bitfinex hack.
- Recordings show John managing wallets and moving Ethereum (ETH) and Tron (TRX) in real-time, indicating control over the funds.
CMDSS and Online Activities
- Following the allegations, CMDSS removed its online presence, deleting its website and social media accounts.
- John altered his online identities and removed NFT-related handles from Telegram.
- Despite these actions, he continued taunting investigators and sent ETH to ZachXBT from a flagged wallet.
- ZachXBT intends to return the ETH to a government seizure address, asserting it belongs to the government.
