ETFs Offering Exposure to XRP and DOGE Debut in U.S.

The first ETFs for XRP and Dogecoin (DOGE) began trading in the U.S. on Thursday.

  • Offered by Rex Shares and Osprey Funds, these ETFs are listed on the Cboe BZX exchange under the tickers DOJE and XRPR.
  • DOJE trades at $26.90 and XRPR at $25.73.
  • DOJE gains exposure to DOGE through a Cayman Islands-based subsidiary using futures and derivatives, rather than holding DOGE directly.
  • XRPR holds XRP directly but also invests in spot ETFs outside the U.S.

XRP and DOGE rank as the third and eighth largest crypto tokens by market cap, respectively.

  • Spot crypto ETFs launched in the U.S. in January 2024, initially with Bitcoin (BTC), followed by Ether (ETH).
  • Crypto ETFs offer investors exposure to assets without owning them directly, providing a more secure investment option for institutional investors.
