Bloomberg Intelligence analysts James Seyffart and Eric Balchunas predict the following probabilities for crypto ETF approvals:
- 90% chance for a litecoin ETF this year
- 75% chance for a dogecoin ETF in 2025
- 70% chance for a solana ETF
- 65% chance for an XRP ETF
The SEC has not classified LTC and DOGE as securities, which is favorable for potential ETFs. The agency has acknowledged litecoin filings, indicating progress.
Seyffart anticipates further acknowledgments from the SEC this week. SOL's lower odds are attributed to its classification as a security in several lawsuits. Ongoing litigation could delay decisions on Ripple-related products.
The SEC's decision deadline for litecoin proposals is in early October. Caution about market manipulation and custody risks continues to affect ETF approvals.
