Tether Announces Development of QVAC Keyboard for Enhanced AI Functionality
Tether has announced the upcoming QVAC Keyboard, aimed at enhancing privacy and efficiency within its AI ecosystem. CEO Paolo Ardoino revealed this development on July 25.
Key Features of QVAC Keyboard
- Integrates local and private AI directly into a keyboard
- Part of Tether’s Quantumverse Automatic Computer (QVAC) platform
- Runs locally on user devices to maintain data control
- Eliminates reliance on centralized cloud servers
- Features include on-device text predictions, secure encryption, and potential voice-to-text capabilities
- Supports transactions using Bitcoin and USDT
The QVAC platform, established in May, envisions a peer-to-peer network with sextillions of autonomous AI agents, inspired by Isaac Asimov's story "The Last Question". This decentralized architecture enhances security and scalability across various hardware.
Strategic Developments
- Tether partnered with Northern Data in September 2023 to explore AI technology integration
- Plans to return to the U.S. market following the signing of the GENIUS Act, which provides regulatory guidelines for stablecoin use
- This allows USDT to compete in the regulated American market against stablecoins like USDC
