WhiteBIT Achieves Level 3 Certification Under Cryptocurrency Security Standard
WhiteBIT, a leading centralized crypto exchange in Europe, has become the first global exchange to achieve Level 3 certification under the Cryptocurrency Security Standard (CCSS). This certification requires advanced security protocols, including multi-signature wallets, detailed access controls, and strict disaster recovery plans.
The certification followed a 2.5-month audit by Hacken, a cybersecurity firm, which involved extensive evaluations of hot and cold wallets, interviews, and a comprehensive 97-page report. The preparation for this audit spanned three years and included over 100 review artifacts.
CEO Volodymyr Nosov emphasized the importance of this certification, stating it demonstrates WhiteBIT's commitment to user asset protection and sets new standards in security protocols.
Record-Breaking Growth for WhiteBIT Exchange
Founded in 2018, WhiteBIT has grown to serve over 5.5 million users globally, offering more than 600 trading pairs and 300 digital assets, along with support for nine fiat currencies. The exchange has partnerships with FC Barcelona, FC Trabzonspor, ESL Faceit, and VISA.
WhiteBIT processes an average daily trading volume of $12.6 billion, reflecting a 113.82% increase. The BTC/USDT trading pair achieves over $2.1 billion in daily volume, while futures contracts reach around $36 billion in daily trade value, with open interest at $7.8 billion.
These figures indicate increasing user confidence in WhiteBIT’s offerings post-CCSS Level 3 certification. The exchange's WBT token is currently trading at $25.17, with a market cap of $2.17 billion, having risen 13.60% in the past month and 0.70% weekly.
Beyond Security: New App and US Expansion Plans
Beyond security, WhiteBIT has also achieved the highest level of PCI DSS certification for payment data protection, aligning with its mission to make blockchain technology accessible and secure. Nosov stated that the goal extends beyond innovation; it aims to ensure advancements are built on a secure foundation.
WhiteBIT plans to expand into the US market and recently launched the Bull Run app to reward users. Its robust security measures mitigate risks from human error and cyber threats, supported by disaster recovery systems that protect user funds during unforeseen events, solidifying its reputation as a reliable exchange.
