How we select an exchange for buying

Editors define the selection criteria: data freshness, pair volume, spread, Holder TrustScore, verified fees and exchange experience. Experience uses the founding year in our directory. Advertising and partnerships do not affect the score.

Eligibility thresholds: data no older than 6 h, pair volume of at least $100 000 per day, spread no higher than 1% and TrustScore of at least 3.5 out of 5.

Weights: spread — 30%, TrustScore — 25%, volume — 25%, fees — 10%, experience — 10%. Experience reaches its maximum contribution at 10 years based on the founding year. Unknown fees and experience earn no additional points.

This is a comparative assessment, not a guarantee of the lowest total cost. Check whether the exchange serves your country, the fee for the pair, and deposit and withdrawal costs. The assessment does not include slippage or order book depth.
