What is Gem?

Gem Miner is an onchain mining game where players can mine real $Gem tokens on Base through gameplay.
Our goal is to make interacting with crypto feel simple, intuitive, and engaging. Instead of asking new users to understand wallets, liquidity, or DeFi mechanics first, we introduce them through a familiar experience: a game.
Players open Gem Miner, start mining, and participate in a real onchain economy without needing deep technical knowledge.
Phase 1 focused on building a stable mining system and core gameplay loop. After significant iteration, we now have a bug-free foundation where players can reliably mine $Gem.
Phase 2 will focus on expanding the utility of the $Gem token and developing a deeper in-game economy that gives players meaningful ways to use what they mine.
Our broader mission is to help onboard a new generation of users to Base by lowering the barrier to entry and making the first onchain experience feel fun rather than intimidating.
We are excited to continue building and look forward to sharing Gem Miner with a wider audience.
