**HIVE Digital Lands $220M AI GPU Contract with Bell Canada**

HIVE Digital’s BUZZ HPC unit signed a three-year sovereign AI GPU cloud contract worth about $220 million. Partners include Bell AI Fabric, Cohere and Hypertec, aiming to build Canadian AI compute infrastructure.

The project will deploy 2,304 NVIDIA Grace Blackwell GPUs. HIVE expects this to generate roughly $70 million in annual recurring revenue once fully operational.

For the former pure-play Bitcoin miner, it’s a strategic move away from sole reliance on block rewards. The same energy and data-center footprint used for mining can be repurposed for enterprise GPU workloads.

Canada’s sovereign AI angle ensures capacity, connectivity and model development remain within domestic systems — aligning with privacy and national-security priorities.

Execution risk remains. GPU procurement, uptime guarantees and capital costs could impact margins. But the deal gives HIVE a contracted, non-mining revenue stream in a market where competitive halving economics push miners to diversify.
