StakeStone Integrates Chainlink CCIP for Enhanced Cross-Chain Staking
StakeStone has integrated Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to improve cross-chain functionality on networks such as Arbitrum, Base, Ethereum, and Optimism. This allows users to stake ETH directly from layer-2 networks using Lido's Direct Staking.
Key points include:
- CCIP is chosen for its unmatched security, achieving level-5 cross-chain security.
- The Risk Management Network monitors cross-chain operations for suspicious activity.
- CCIP facilitates token transfers across chains with programmable instructions upon arrival.
- Chainlink's Decentralized Oracle Network (DON) secures over $75 billion in DeFi Total Value Locked (TVL) and has processed over $16 trillion in on-chain transactions since 2022.
- Future upgrades will allow integration of new blockchain networks and enhanced security measures.
StakeStone connects with the Chainlink ecosystem, aiming to enhance growth opportunities. CMO Ivan K. highlighted the benefits of enabling secure L2 staking for users through CCIP.
Other companies, including OKX and Dexodus Finance, have also adopted CCIP for cross-chain interoperability and smart contract automation.
