Volatility Shares Submits Applications for Spot and Leveraged XRP ETFs

Volatility Shares has filed for three new XRP-focused exchange-traded funds (ETFs):

• A spot XRP ETF tracking the cryptocurrency's price directly
• A 2x leveraged XRP ETF amplifying daily price movements by two times
• An inverse -1x XRP ETF allowing investors to bet against XRP’s price

Traders currently estimate a 77% chance of regulatory approval for the spot XRP ETF this year, but only a 35% chance before July 31, 2025. Volatility Shares joins other asset managers like Grayscale and WisdomTree in seeking XRP ETFs.

The U.S. SEC has begun reviewing an XRP ETF filing from the New York Stock Exchange and Grayscale. Meanwhile, Brazil is set to launch the world's first approved spot XRP ETF.
