Analyst says XRP nears bottom in $1.30–$1.70 range

Protechtor sees XRP bottom forming after four months in a tight range. He tracks a descending triangle and two near-term paths.

XRP has moved sideways in a $1.30–$1.70 band for about four months, far below the $3.65 2025 high. The analyst says the extended decline is nearly done and a tradeable low is close, citing his daily chart work on X and coverage in NewsBTC.

He maps a descending triangle: lower highs since January 2026 against a stable $1.28–$1.31 floor. Spot sits around $1.43 at time of writing. Chart and levels are shown in his post.

In Elliott Wave terms, the late‑2025 to early‑2026 selloff is Wave C of a broader correction, either complete or close. It may count as Wave 2 or Wave B, with subwaves (a)–(e); wave (e) appears in progress, finishing the triangle before a thrust. Wave structure context is discussed via Bitcoinist and NewsBTC.

Key levels and scenarios
- A final flush below $1.28, the wave (d) low, then a sharp reversal. Triangles often end with a swift thrust that retraces quickly source.
- Or the low is already in. A break above the wave (c) high would invalidate the triangle and imply the correction ended earlier source.

“In either case we are near a significant bottom,” Protechtor says, framing recent moves as noise within a larger bullish structure that remains intact NewsBTC.
