Bitcoin Price Drops Below $90,000 Amid Market Uncertainty
Bitcoin's price has dropped significantly, falling below $90,000 to a low of $87,000. This decline moves it further from its January all-time high of over $109,000.
The sell-off is attributed to:
- An Ethereum-related hacking incident unsettling the market
- Inflation concerns and reintroduced tariff policies impacting risk assets
Mac.D from CryptoQuant noted two key factors influencing Bitcoin's future trajectory:
- Long position liquidations reached $245 million, the highest since November, potentially allowing for a price rebound
- The average entry price for whale investors is approximately $89,600, serving as a psychological support level

Despite these supports, Mac warns that failure to maintain this level could lead to further declines. He suggests considering risk management strategies like short positions or partial liquidation.
Technical Outlook On BTC
Currently trading at $87,132, Bitcoin has breached the $89,600 support level. While Mac anticipates potential further drops, analyst RektCapital offers a more optimistic view, suggesting the drop might be a temporary setback and a rebound could be underway.
