Bitdeer Increases Bitcoin Holdings by 75% to 1,039 BTC in Two Months
Bitdeer Technologies (BTDR) increased its bitcoin (BTC) holdings by nearly 75% over two months, reaching 1,039 BTC in February 2025, up from 594 BTC in December. This growth was facilitated by redirecting mining rigs to self-production after customer payment delays for SEALMINER A2 units during a price decline.
- Bitdeer's holdings rank it among the top bitcoin miners, though behind MARA Holdings with 46,374 BTC and Riot Platforms with 18,692 BTC.
- The company is focused on developing bitcoin mining chips, claiming significant energy efficiency improvements with its new A3 miner.
- Bitdeer reported a net loss of $531.9 million for Q4, linked to its investments in mining rig development.
- In February, Bitdeer produced 110 BTC, down from 126 BTC in January, partially due to the month’s shorter duration.
- Total proprietary hash rate rose to 9.4 exahashes per second (EH/s), up from 8.9 EH/s in December.
- Company shares increased by 0.85% to $10.66 in Nasdaq trading.
