Metaplanet Inc. Acquires 1,009 Bitcoin to Reach 20,000 Total Holdings

Metaplanet Inc. purchased 1,009 bitcoin (BTC), increasing its total holdings to 20,000 BTC and surpassing Riot Platforms (RIOT) as the sixth-largest corporate treasury in bitcoin.

• The acquisition cost approximately 16.5 billion yen ($112 million).
• Total bitcoin investments now reach 302.3 billion yen, averaging 15.1 million yen per BTC.
• From July 1 to Sept. 1, the company reported a BTC yield of 30.7%.
• The multiple to net asset value (mNAV) stands just below 2.
• Shares of Metaplanet declined by 5.5% to 831 yen.
