Metaplanet Issues 2 Billion Yen in Zero-Interest Bonds for Bitcoin Acquisition

Japan's Metaplanet has issued 2 billion yen ($13.4 million) in zero-interest bonds to acquire more bitcoin (https://holder.io/coins/btc/). The bonds will be redeemed on Sept. 17 and are part of the company's strategy to increase its bitcoin reserves amid recent price corrections.

Evo fund is the sole bondholder.
Metaplanet recently acquired 162 BTC for $13.5 million, averaging $83,123 per bitcoin.
The company now holds 3200 BTC, valued at $265 million, making it the tenth-largest BTC-holding public entity.
