Trump proposes $103,265 H‑1B fee, capping new visas at 85,000
The Trump Administration proposed a new H-1B visa fee of $103,265 that would apply to most new applicants, including those already in the United States, with an annual cap of 85,000 visas. Hospitals, universities, and other nonprofit institutions are exempt from the cap. This fee would replace the previously announced $100,000 fee that was invalidated by a federal appeals court. The tech sector is expected to be most heavily affected due to its reliance on H-1B talent.
