US M2 money supply increased by $102.8 billion in July to a record $23.22 trillion. This was the 27th consecutive monthly rise. Year-to-date 2026: +$862.7 billion. M2 now exceeds the March 2022 peak by $1.43 trillion. Since 2000, money in circulation has grown at an average annual rate of 6.3%, or about $700 billion per year. The current pace indicates rapid expansion in US money creation.
